Springdale Post Acute is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Supervisor to lead engaging, meaningful programs that enhance the quality of life for our skilled and long-term care residents in accordance with state and federal guidelines and regulations. Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and execute a wide range of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and health conditions.
Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop personalized activity plans that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during programming sessions to foster independence and dignity.
Monitor resident participation and satisfaction levels; adapt programs accordingly to maximize engagement and enjoyment.
Maintain detailed records of activities conducted, resident participation, and progress notes to support care planning efforts.
Skills
Proven experience in event planning within senior care settings or assisted living communities.
Strong background in nursing home or long-term care environments with specialized knowledge in Alzheimer's care, memory care, and dementia support strategies.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
Expertise in recreational therapy techniques that promote mental stimulation, physical activity, and social interaction.
Ability to manage schedules efficiently while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate caregiving skills with experience assisting residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, or mobility support.
