Summary:

Crescent Manor is looking to hire a dynamic and ambitious individual to serve as the Activity Director for our skilled nursing facility in Bennington, VT. Crescent Manor has a unique population of residents, including a 40-bed Dementia Special Care unit, a 22-bed Huntington's Special Care Unit, in addition to long term care residents requiring 24-hour skilled nursing care and residents who require subacute rehabilitation. The Activity Director will develop and coordinate a variety of activity programs geared to meet individual, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents, as well as regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Creating monthly activity calendar for residents; Implementing activities that are scheduled on the monthly activity calendar; Coordinate appropriate entertainment; Leadership and Supervision of Activities Staff; Engage and motivate residents to partake in daily social, physical and cognitive activities as planned; Maintain records of all activities and resident participation levels of each activity; Create Activity specific care plans for each resident; Purchase appropriate arts, crafts and supplies for scheduled activities; Implement programs for religious services; Decorate rooms and other facility areas for holidays, birthday parties and theme parties; Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

Recreation Therapist, COTA or Certified Activity Director preferred


Point Click Care experience preferred


At least one year experience in a long- term care setting

Salary commensurate with certification, credentials and experience.
