Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Director Assistant to support the planning and execution of engaging recreational and social activities for residents in a senior care setting. This role is vital in enhancing quality of life through meaningful engagement, fostering social connections, and supporting residents' emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or long-term care, with a strong focus on dementia and memory care. QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:



Education:

High school graduate.

Experience

: Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Working conditions

: Resident setting environment; office related duties; light lifting; routine engagement with residents, staff and visitors; onsite and offsite duties.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:



1. Responsible for the providing of the activities for residents as assigned by the Activities

Director.

2. Assist with the admission process of new residents as needed.

3. Understand the activities assigned and how they are designed to promote the residents' active involvement with each other, their families, and the community that provides social, physical, intellectual and recreational activities in a planned, coordinated and structured manner.

4. Responsible for understanding and maintaining the licensure standards.

5. Provide in-room activities to those residents that are not able to attend the regular activities.

6. Miscellaneous duties as assigned to assist the overall care to residents.

7. Invite and engage all residents in the planned activities and encourage participation.

8. Responsible to know assignments planned each day and prepare for each assignment in a timely manner.

9. Take pictures of residents engaged in activities for company social media and report

to the Activities Director

10. Keep engagement log of those attending activities daily.

11. Communicate with all staff the planned activities.

12. Coordinate with the kitchen staff when their help is needed for an activity

13. Ensure the safety of the residents at all times when they are participating in an activity.

14. Coordinate with Activities Director to ensure someone is in place to facilitate the activities scheduled in your absence.

15. Communicate to the Activities Director of any time off needed. All call ins must be a

minimum of 4 hours prior to next scheduled shift.

16. Communicate with the Activities Director and families regarding their resident's participation in activities.

17. Participate in community events to represent Carrick Glen.

18. Answer phone and greet visitors as needed

19. Respect HIPPA laws and maintain confidentiality.

20. Understand all job duties and communicate to supervisor if you do not. You will be held

accountable for those job duties and subject to reprimand if they are not performed as

trained.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
