Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist

Compensation:

$20.00 - $27.00 per hour (Based on Qualifications & Experience)

Position Summary:

Eskola, LLC is seeking a motivated individual to join our rapidly growing team as an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring healthy cash flow through timely and professional collection of outstanding receivables. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, persistence, and creativity to resolve challenging accounts while maintaining positive client relationships. Previous experience in construction or roofing collections is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Manage the full accounts receivable collections cycle, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding invoices. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate successful collection efforts. Employ persistence and problem-solving skills to resolve payment issues, particularly in complex or unlikely scenarios. Review billing records, contracts, and lien rights to support collections efforts and minimize risk. Communicate professionally and effectively--both verbally and in writing--when negotiating payment arrangements or addressing disputes. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of billing and reconciliation of accounts. Maintain detailed documentation of collection activities within company systems. Assist in preparing reports on accounts receivable status for management review. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to billing, cash flow, and collections processes.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts receivable collections, preferably within the commercial construction and / or roofing industry. Proven ability to apply persistence and "out-of-the-box" problem solving to achieve successful resolutions in difficult collection situations. Superb oral and written communication skills; ability to put people at ease while driving positive outcomes. Demonstrated charisma and professionalism in client-facing interactions. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance persistence and professionalism. Results-driven mindset with a focus on improving cash flow and reducing delinquent accounts. Customer service orientation with the ability to maintain positive relationships while addressing payment concerns. Familiarity with commercial construction billing practices (progress billing, lien waivers, pay applications, retainage, etc.). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams. Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience using Foundation accounting software preferred but not required. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
