As a Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role

- Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Prepare reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts

- Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

- Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

- Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Complete other projects as required

- Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

Requirements

- Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

- Foundational knowledge in cash posting

- Microsoft Excel experience required

- Deep understanding of Blackbaud

- Financial Statement experience desired

- Experience with cash flow management

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

- Proficient in ERP systems

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Recent and relevant accounting experience

- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
