Job Description

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the Director of Business Operations by handling routine bookkeeping tasks and executing daily administrative/clerical tasks at a busy real estate investment company.

Key responsibilities:



Record financial transactions as needed in Quickbooks Support the account payable function in coordination with Director to ensure accurate and timely payments Reconcile receipts to credit card invoices; ensure proper filing and supporting documentation is stored Assist with bank and credit card statements reconciliations to ensure accuracy and adherence to company protocol for spending Prepare basic financial reports and analysis as needed Maintain filing systems, databases and confidential documents Prepare MS Excel worksheets and reporting as directed Assist with any projects relating to business insurances; request certificate of insurance from subcontractors and vendors Open and sort mail and ensure proper handling of payments/rent checks Provide administrative support to project management team Maintain vendor relationships as needed Answer phones, direct calls, take messages and respond to email's professionally; meet and greet tenants for the collection of rent as needed Maintain inventory of supplies and orders accordingly
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week

Work Location: In person
