Job Description


The Accounting Manager position, that is located in our Orange, TX office, is responsible for all operational and financial accounting. This hands-on position will lead the accounting team in account receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory/job costing, treasury, and payroll.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Work closely with the CFO on all accounting functions.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including coordination of monthly close processes for multiple companies.
  • Oversee completion and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Provide regular reviews and analysis of accounting data, including balance sheet and income statement accounts, job costing information, etc.
  • Assist in external tax firms for tax preparation.
  • Develop and monitor internal controls.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, polices, and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives.
  • Hire, motivate, and lead a high-performing team through coaching, top-tier talent retention, and directed recruiting efforts.
  • Supervise staff, including but not limited to training, providing work direction, problem-solving assistance, reviewing performance, recommending salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

At a minimum, the Accounting Manager must have a bachelor\'s degree in accounting, or equivalent years of experience, along with 2+ years of overall combined accounting experience, 1+ years of supervisory experience, proven knowledge and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and the ability to generate, read, analyze, and interpret data from ERP systems. 2+ years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
