Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.
What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

• Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
• If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

• Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
• Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Accounting Manager Controller
Leading Manufacturing facility is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager/ Controller to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions.

Accounting Manager Controller Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $38.00 to $43.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday)

• Oversee monthly financial reporting and support annual external audits.
• Reconcile material receipts with general ledger inventory activity each month.
• Collect and analyze job cost data; maintain company pricing matrices.
• Prepare monthly product line margin and profitability analyses.
• Develop and present financial reports for ownership and the Board of Directors.
• Ensure accurate collection, reporting, and payment of local, parish, and state taxes.
• Manage sales tax compliance and monthly filings.
• Accurately complete and file property tax valuations.
• Provide backup support for HR, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

Accounting Manager Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• 7-10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in cost accounting and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, complex formulas).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
