Auto Tire & Parts NAPA is an independent automotive parts company with 60 locations across Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas and Kentucky. We are seeking a professional employee to join our office staff as an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting with general office duties including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing, answering phones and general coordination. Accounting Clerk Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares work by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
- Key invoices by verifying transaction information, preparing disbursements and obtaining authorization of payment.
- Collects accounts receivable by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
- Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
- Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing special projects as needed.
