Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Clerk II in Patuxent River, MD. Position Type: Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Supports the Property Accounting and Reimbursable Billing Team.
• Creates/processes purchases/payments.
• Creates and processes cash collection vouchers.
• Monitors and reports on Unmatched collections.
• Prepares/processes Field Level Journal Vouchers.
• Assists with establishment of vendor accounts.
• Prepares audit reports.
• Processes corrections and funding requests.
• Prepares billing history reports. Verifies and processes final bills.
• Prepares billing reconciliations. Reports on planned vs. actual billing cycles.
• Processes surcharges from previous months.
• Assists P Card holders with trouble requests. Analyzes P Card Holder open commitments and obligations.
• Maintains Property Governance Spreadsheet
• Performs custody transfers
• Performs custody reconciliations
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:
Required:

• At least one (1) year of accounting experience.

Desired:

• Experience with DoD accounting.
• Experience with Navy ERP.
• Associate\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Business Management or actively pursuing such degree.

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
High school Diploma or GED required.
