Summary:
The Analyst II is responsible for the accounting of all assigned processes. To this end, the Analyst II is an expert in the accounting standards, regulations, and philosophy of the processes. The position coordinates the posting of transactions, balances related general ledgers, and prepares necessary reporting. The Analyst II is expected to apply extensive use of technology to create effective and efficient procedures for use in the department and the organization. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate posting and balancing of ledgers.
  • Acts as the expert in assigned fields from both an internal and external perspective.
  • Ensures the accuracy of financial statements, general ledger accounts supporting the financial statements and all other associated subsidiary records and financial reports.
  • Make recommendations for implementing new accounting, finance, and financial analysis procedures.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity by ensuring timely reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts, analyzing reasonableness of account balances, and ensuring appropriate setup of new accounts, products, and branches.
  • Maintain updated and accurately documented procedures for accounting department functions.
  • Provide professional friendly and courteous interaction with members, staff and outside entities while remaining consistent with the overall credit union\xe2\x80\x99s strategic board policy.
  • Act as a liaison between accounting and other credit union departments to ensure that processes and workflow are providing the best possible service to credit union members.
  • Promotes honest and open communication throughout the credit union.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union\xe2\x80\x99s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
  • Work with other credit union departments to ensure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements:


Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree

Required
Business, finance, accounting, or related field of study

Banking/Credit Union experience
Required
2 \xe2\x80\x93 4 years


  • Self-starter and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to think analytically, creatively, and logically.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, objectives, and deadlines.
  • Strong personal computer, calculator, spreadsheet, database, and word processing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.
  • Must be able to be bonded.
