Joe Taylor Restoration is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our growing team! For 20 years now, Joe Taylor\'s mission has been to provide an unmatched customer service experience to our customers as we aid in restoring their homes after a water, fire, mold, or biohazard loss. Our Accounting Department is seeking a clerical support staffer to help the Accounts Receivable / Collection and Billing teams to operate at peak efficiency. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, fast-paced and determined to use their abilities to grow their role in many areas. Functions and Responsibilities

  • Send billing packet to the customer via mail
  • Issue Collection Letters \xe2\x80\x93 Print, Mail, Scan, Archive, Document in CRM
  • Prepare Claim of Lien Documents
  • Prepare Lien Notification Packets to the Homeowner
  • Post Lien Action: Prepare Files for the Attorney
  • Collect on Small Amounts - via email, calls
  • Monitor AR mailbox for returned mail sent to the customer
  • Obtain Claim number from Carrier or the customer for billing
  • Prepare documentation for Returned Checks to Carriers or the customer- send via regular mail
  • Assist with requesting Alacrity Funds
  • Assist with Direct Billing to the customer
  • Assist with Billing Reconciliations
  • All other projects/duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills

\xc2\xb7 Minimum Education: Associate Degree with a concentration in Accounting classes or proven equivalent knowledge or experience of accounting rules and principles / bookkeeping.

\xc2\xb7 Minimum Experience: One to two (1-2) years of billing, cash posting and AR Collection in Quickbooks.

\xc2\xb7 Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, QuickBooks.

\xc2\xb7 Experience with customer service and CRM software, Sugar or Salesforce a plus.
