In this role, you will\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Prepare, validate and reconcile the quarterly and annual investment schedules and disclosures for GAAP, Statutory (STAT), and Management financial reporting for all MedPro carriers.
  • Prepare the GAAP and STAT financial statements for one of MedPro\'s largest carriers.
  • Assist in the consolidation of MedPro Group\'s financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze financial variances.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Assist with intercompany balancing and eliminations.
  • Research and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the completion of Model Audit requirements and maintain internal controls.
  • Serve in a backup capacity for a variety of Treasury tasks, including, but not limited to: daily cash funding and operations, fraud mitigation, analysis, and short-term investments.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Utilize available tools to improve various accounting/reporting processes (Excel, Access, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.).
  • Identify, recommend and assist in implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiencies and best practices.
  • Have the autonomy to start and lead project initiatives, learn a variety of industry leading tools, and assist in advancing the speed and accuracy in which MedPro Finance operates.
We are looking for candidates with\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Desired 2-5 years of experience in Accounting.
  • CPA or progression towards CPA (preferred but not required).
  • Highly motivated, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of both STAT and GAAP investment accounting practices.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience with Alteryx and Tableau (preferred).
