The opportunity

The Academic Advisor Team Lead is responsible for the leadership and oversight of a team of Academic Advisors, focusing on student success, student persistence, and student satisfaction. You will report to the Director of Academic Advising.

In this Role You\'ll Get To:

  • Communicate with your team on how our work connects with the university mission.
  • Leverage systems and reporting daily to positively impact student success, persistence, and satisfaction.
  • Engage team to develop strategy to positively impact key performance indicators (KPIs) while offering support, coaching, and measurement.
  • Conduct quality assurance to ensure team is adhering to the Student Engagement Guide, New Student Orientation Guide, and CX framework
  • Conduct recurring meetings with team members to effectively coach and ensure delivery upon key performance indictors (KPIs)
  • Develop effective Academic Advisors in accordance with Core Competencies.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuously improve.
  • Ensure self and team are adhering to policies within University Catalog and the Employee Handbook.
  • Assist with commencement ceremonies and receptions.
What we\'re Looking For:
  • Degree(s): Bachelor\'s degree
  • Understands the balance of business and empathy to intentionally turn the dial on business results.
  • Ability to see multiple perspectives when assessing situations.
  • Previous experience leading a People Team
