REQUIREMENTS
This position will be filled according to Civil Service rules on a Provisional appointment.
LOCATION
Board of Education
DUTIES
Functions as a liaison between Personnel Department and District staff and interprets policies, rules and regulations.
Maintains familiarity with various kinds of instructional programs offered and coordinates with Assistant Superintendents, principals and directors on staffing levels and recruitment for vacant positions.
Assists in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of candidates, and verifies salary step placement, tenure area and probationary period for new hires.
Assists in calculation of stipends
Ensures accuracy of personnel related items appearing on board agenda

SALARY
Salary will be determined according to contractual agreement.

Job Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master's Degree in Business, Education, Human Resources or related field and one (1) year of experience involving the administration or management of personnel related functions and transactions; OR
Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Human Resources or related field and two (2) years of experience as outlined in (A) above; OR
Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a business related Associate's Degree and ten (10) years of experience as outlined in (A) above.
