Interns will apply academic theory, develop processes based on specific discipline, conduct research and perform analysis on assigned projects for the Licensing department. Interns will, under direct supervision, perform basic analysis and design in support of the facility in relation to the design safety basis for the site. Provides engineering support in terms of calculations, walkdowns, and general configuration management control as assigned. The job functions will be performed with assistance from more experienced engineers.

Our Hiring Process
We are accepting applications NOW through December 1st, 2025. Our internship is highly competitive and will have different process stages during the application phase. Essential Functions
Will be responsible under direct supervision for performing analysis and design activities in support of facility operations and future projects. Performs one or more of the following: engineering calculations, chemical dose consequence calculations, dose and shielding calculations, nuclear criticality safety evaluations.
Will provide improvement tools to the facility's Emergency Preparedness & Response Program such as postulated chemical or radiological dose rates for beyond design safety basis events.
May perform an assessment and analysis of worker doses to recommend placement of future facility shielding.
Helps resolve technical issues and provides general engineering and technical support activities using basic and advanced engineering principles.

Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week for the duration of the program

Candidate Requirements / Eligibility
Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university
Able to work ALL 11 (May through August) weeks of the internship program
