Job Summary - Installs Telematics/ GPS/ ELD/ DOT e-Logs/ Driver Monitor/ "Black Box"/ IVMS/ Camera/ Collision Avoidance, Tire Pressure Monitoring, Cargo Sensor, Cargo Camera, Door Sensor, Virtual Mirror systems into commercial fleet vehicles, as well as troubleshoot/repair same systems. - This is a non-employee 1099 contractor position Required Work Experience - Mechanically proficient with general 12v electrical knowledge and some experience using a multimeter -Job will require extensive use of web-based apps by smartphone, tablet, and PC. - EOBR Logistics is an industry-leading fleet technology deployment company to the some of the biggest and most reputable fleet technology vendors in the world. - Experience with Phillips Connect smart trailer products, Mobileye collision avoidance products, and/or ThirdEye or RearView Systems a BIG PLUS!!! - MECP certification a_ BIG PLUS!!!_ - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work without supervision. - Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions and schedules Responsibilities and Duties - Do NOT have to live in major metro city - Ample work available if willing to travel. Regular work in major metro city areas, so best if you reside in major metro area. Extensive travel still necessary for most income potential. - Nationwide work available - Will commute to job site from residence - Must work weekends unless requested off - Be fluid. Scheduled work changes regularly. - Will be 1099 contractor with ample work available. Will be hired for current and forecasted projects. If we see you are a good fit for our team, you\'ll certainly be considered for long term. - Extensive travel required if wanting higher income opportunities ($70k-120k)- Overnight for up to 2 weeks or more at a time - Must be familiar with 12 volt automotive electrical systems - Must know how to use a simple multi-meter (volts and ohms) - Integrity is paramount. Most of the time tech is unsupervised - Must be self-motivating - Needs higher than average mechanical skills - Must have eye for detail and pride in work done well - Must be patient and diplomatic with customers - Must be professional - Must clearly communicate to Customers and Schedulers - Must provide own tools (approx. $700 for small cordless driver/drill, ample bit selection, uni-bits, 1/4" sockets, flex shaft extension, cutters, strippers, magnetic tray, plastic pry tools, portable soldering iron, solder, strippers, crimpers, pliers, tape, assorted zip ties, self-tapping screws, quality double-sided foam tape, multi-meter, computer-safe test light/power probe. If upfront assistance is needed, we can assist you and we can recoup those costs from you over a couple of checks. - Need smartphone (preferably Verizon and/or AT&T due to better remote coverage) - Need mobile internet connectivity (mobile hotspot/ wifi). - Must have entry level working knowledge of Excel. - Must complete paperwork daily and provide daily updates to Schedulers. The information you document is AS IMPORTANT as the physical work performed. Documentation is generally done via our field service management app. - Needs PPE (reflective vest, safety toed shoes/boots, safety glasses, and hard-hat) to enter and move around some customers locations. However, items are not generally needed to actually perform the job. - Must provide own reliable transportation, fuel, and repairs/maintenance on your own vehicle. Travel expenses are reimbursed (mileage at IRS rate). If travel requires flights, hotels, rental cars, etc, you will NOT be expected to pay for these.
