Family Skill Building Services is hiring for a

Youth Skill Builder

position in its North Platte Juvenile Reporting Program. This role involves providing a structured environment for juveniles in the probation system, including homework assistance, life skills coaching, and role modeling. To apply, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, or a high school diploma/GED with two years of relevant experience. All offers are contingent on a background check covering APS/CPS, Nebraska DMV, National Criminal History, and sexual offender registries. Job duties

Provide a structured environment for children in the Juvenile Probation System. Offer homework assistance. Coach life skills. Teach and role model for children.
Qualifications

Ideal:

Bachelor's degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Early Childhood Development).

Also considered:

High school diploma or GED with two years of job-related experience.

Essential:

Background check requirements

All offers are contingent upon a clear background check. Checks will be conducted on candidates and updated every two years for all employees. The checks include: APS/CPS, Nebraska DMV, National Criminal History, NE State Patrol Criminal History, and NE State Patrol Sexual Offender Registry.
