Provide an opportunity for high school students to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in preparation for a university education in a STEM field of study.

Program Description




The Oshkosh Apprenticeship Program is a one-year program focused on core technical engineering skills, led by industry professionals. The program format is flexible and will accommodate the scheduling challenges unique to high school students.

Program Objectives



Provide a premium opportunity for high performing students that desire a STEM career Promote partnership among the students, parents, school, and Oshkosh Corporation Prepare students for an engineering career Offer a real-world educational experience by partnering the student with an engineer for on the job shadowing, team projects, field trips, and guest speakers Provide students with a link between secondary and university education

Students gain knowledge and experience via work-based learning Real world experience enhances a students' marketability to both university education and their career pathway Students will receive .5 credits for each semester for completion of the Apprentice Program.

How It Works



1 Year Program High School

Seniors

for the 2025-2026 academic year are eligible

Students are exposed to multiple engineering disciplines including:

Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering Materials Engineering

Program includes 450 hours of project work assigned by engineering professionals over the course of one year. This is a paid position.


Upon program completion, each student is provided a Youth Apprenticeship certificate from the State of Wisconsin.

Pay Range:



$15.50 - $16.50
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
