Thank you for your interest in working with Sprouts Montessori of Bend. At Sprouts, we create spaces for the natural growth and development of children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in beautiful, intentionally designed indoor and outdoor environments. At this time, we are seeking a teaching assistant for our young toddler (12-24m) classroom. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH TODDLERS AND BE AIDE 2 OR TEACHER QUALIFIED.

Our job is to keep our environments prepared, supervise and observe each individual, and offer guidance and support as needed.

Classroom Assistant

Full-time: Monday - Friday 8:15am - 5:15pm

Starting Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience

Paid time off, five weeks scheduled vacation

The Classroom Assistant helps keep the environment prepared, closely observes the children, and attends to their needs.

Responsibilities include offering comfort and care to children ages 12-36m, and working with classroom teachers to implement the Montessori program.

Ability to lift 30 pounds

Required Qualifications (can be obtained upon hire):

Qualified Teacher: 750 hours of documented experience with young children

Registration with Oregon Central Background Registry

Current CPR/First Aid, RRCAN, Introduction to Health and Safety, Prevention is Better Than Treatment, Oregon Safe Sleep for Infants, Fundamentals of Learning, 30 additional hours of Infant/Toddler Training, and Food Handler Card (these trainings can be obtained upon hire)
