REPORTS TO

General Manager and Assistant General Manager or Operations Supervisor



POSITION SUMMARY

The Food & Beverage (F&B) Supervisor will provide oversight and management to the Food & Beverage outlets throughout the property. They will provide training, manage retention, and adhere to service and quality standards of all staff to ensure excellent service. The F&B Supervisor will assist with the creation of menu items and pricing by understanding guest needs and product availability while maximizing profitability.



SPECIFIC DUTIES

Evaluate team members' performance while also hiring, training, encouraging teamwork, and setting a high level of customer service standards. Ensures that outlets are sanitized, cleaned, stocked, and setup correctly at start of and throughout the shift while adhering to sanitation, safety, and food and beverage control policies. Manage schedule to ensure adequate staffing to support occupancy. Prepare reports as required, relating to procedures, efficiency, sales, etc. Assist in monthly food and beverage inventories and reconciliations. Ordering of food, beverage and necessary supplies to ensure outlet is properly prepared for business needs. Responsible for understanding POS system, updating changes and training staff in its use. Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons. Obtain certifications to meet state and local government regulations. Ensure strict cash controls by following specific KOA cash and credit card handling procedures. Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, quality and cleanliness. Be familiar with fire extinguisher locations and know how to operate them in the restaurant/kitchen. Ensures safe handling of chemicals in accordance with department standards and utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate. Foster a work environment that maximizes employee involvement, morale and is dedicated to delivering KOAs Culture, Mission, Values and Goals. Directed by GM/AGM, monitor and implement the department safety program, which ensures that all OAK employees work in a safe and hazard free environment that complies with various local, state, and federal safety requirements.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Food and Beverage operation is within budget and profitable. Adherence to all KOA, federal, state and local standards and codes. Provide safe work environment for guests and staff. Demonstrates strong leadership skills with a professional attitude towards staff. Trained and knowledgeable staff that can do their job timely and efficiently. Meet Quality Assurance standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of progressive experience in a related field required Hear and speak the English language fluently Strong decision-making ability Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills with ability to manage confrontation Ability to motivate, lead and develop a diverse team Strong working knowledge of operational procedures Comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Ability to read and maintain a budget Motivated, goal oriented and results driven Ability to maintain confidentiality Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays Valid driver's license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and move safely over uneven terrain. Able to work inside and outdoors and in various climates.
