The Mapleton Depot Laborer, whose line of reporting is highlighted on the Mapleton Depot Organizational Chart, is to perform general clean-up, and general manual labor. Transport materials, supplies, and equipment throughout the plant. Fill vacancies in other job classifications.



Essential Job Functions:


Inspects, starts, operates, and stops all equipment and machinery in accordance with established limits and procedures. Shovels, sweeps, cleans up grounds, loads and unloads trucks and railroad cars, cleans sand spillage with water hose, broom, and shovel. Cuts weeds and trees and disposes of Washes floors, windows, Performs preventive maintenance, operating adjustments and repairs, and lubrication to equipment and machinery as required.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:


There are no prior training requirements for this position. Training for this position consists of on the job training with an experienced operator, and 30 days to qualify and perform skills deemed necessary by the Supervisor. Good verbal and written communication Good organizational skills. Self-starter. Good time management, able to prioritize and control interruptions and stay focused. Must be able to cooperate and work with others to safely and proficiently perform analyses on silica sand. Along with assistance of the production superintendent, must be able to obtain reasonable approaches toward problem-solving. Tools and Equipment + Bobcat, fork-lift, shovel, wheelbarrow, hoses, broom, miscellaneous hand tools, brushes, etc.
