Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Coordinator to join our landscape and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will oversee the organization, management, and maintenance of the yard and equipment, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, landscaping expertise, and a proactive approach to yard operations. Responsibilities

Coordinate daily yard activities, including equipment storage, inventory management, and safety protocols. Maintain and repair landscaping tools, power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, tree trimming, lawn care, irrigation setup, and hardscape installation. Support seasonal activities such as snow plowing and winter storm preparedness. Ensure proper handling and disposal of yard waste and debris in compliance with environmental standards. Organize materials for upcoming projects and ensure timely delivery to job sites. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs. Collaborate with team members to facilitate smooth project workflows and safety adherence. Support horticultural practices including gardening, tree care, and plant health management. Assist in the training of new team members on equipment use and safety procedures.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment, power tools, and construction machinery. Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices. Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other heavy machinery. Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree trimming techniques, snow plowing procedures, and hardscape installation. Ability to perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment and perform minor repairs. Familiarity with landscaping materials such as mulch, soil amendments, stones, and pavers. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and project preparation. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and suppliers. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques in landscaping and yard management.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
