Job Summary Passenger Assistance Agent positions encompass facilitating airline passenger processing including check-in, assistance to the departure gate, baggage claim area, and common areas of the airport. Passenger Assistance Agents may also push wheelchairs and carry personal items of passengers. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints to meet arrival and departure goals. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.

Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist passengers as needed through arrival and check-in processes including support for passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers and passengers needing wheelchair assistance \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers, and gate-checked bags are made available for loading upon departure and delivery to passengers upon arrival \xe2\x80\xa2 Operate equipment to include the jetway, computer keyboards, and carrier-specific reservation/ ticketing software \xe2\x80\xa2 Push wheelchairs with wheelchair-bound airline passengers through all areas of the airport, including terminal and gate areas \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with their personal needs and lifting bags at least 50 lbs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Inspect and verify passenger documentation \xe2\x80\xa2 Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be at least 18 years of age \xe2\x80\xa2 Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to stand for long periods of time \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner.
