X-Ray Technician

for an exciting job in

Astoria, NY.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures following established imaging standards. Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and help reduce patient anxiety. Operate and adjust X-ray equipment, exposure controls, and immobilization devices. Apply radiation safety practices to protect patients and staff. Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a clean, safe environment. Review images for clarity, accuracy, and diagnostic quality. Document patient care services and ensure proper exam completion. Conduct routine equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and report repair needs. Monitor and request necessary supplies as needed. Maintain professional competency through ongoing training and CME. Participate in departmental initiatives and meet team goals. Complete annual age-specific competency training. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

0-2 years of experience; interns and recent graduates are welcome. Licensed Radiologic Technologist -

New York State Department of Health

. Strong communication, technical proficiency, reliability, and teamwork.

Education

Graduate of an

AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology

.

Required Licensure

New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.)

ARRT Certification
