Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical imaging and be proficient in performing diagnostic radiology procedures. This role is vital in providing high-quality imaging services to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Duties
Perform X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques. Collaborate with medical staff to evaluate images for diagnostic purposes and assist in urgent care settings as needed. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes to effectively communicate findings. Ensure proper handling of equipment and maintain cleanliness in the imaging area. Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program. Experience in diagnostic radiology, including proficiency in mammography and sonography preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge and physiology related to medical imaging practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care facilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
Work Location: In person
