Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gymnastics and experience in coaching or teaching physical education. This role involves working with students of various ages and skill levels, fostering their love for gymnastics while ensuring a safe and supportive environment. The team coach is responsible for attending practices and meets, providing constructive feedback, and critiquing athlete routines to encourage growth and consistency. This role involves spotting athletes safely, teaching and progressing new skills, and fostering an encouraging and motivating environment. The coach will play an active role in athlete development through hands-on instruction, goal setting, and positive reinforcement. Additional responsibilities include assisting with meet preparation, ensuring athlete safety, maintaining open communication with athletes and parents, and contributing to a supportive and professional team culture.

Duties



Plan and implement engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to the skill levels of participants. Teach fundamental gymnastics skills, including tumbling, balance beam routines, and vaulting techniques. Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their performance and confidence. Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a clean and organized gym environment. Monitor student progress and adjust training programs as needed to meet individual goals. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to develop comprehensive training plans that incorporate various physical activities. Maintain behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere. Organize and participate in gymnastics events, competitions, and exhibitions.

Skills



Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching, particularly in gymnastics. Strong knowledge of child development principles and experience working with students of different ages. Skills in behavior management to effectively guide students during training sessions. Ability to create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and motivate students. A passion for promoting health and fitness through gymnastics while fostering a supportive community atmosphere. Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
