Duties

Prepare and assemble menu items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Toast, Aloha, and Micros to process orders accurately and swiftly. Greet customers warmly, take their orders with enthusiasm, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience. Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and register balancing at the end of each shift. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all food prep areas, dining spaces, and kitchen stations. Assist with food handling duties including serving, bussing tables, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed. Support team members by managing time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues and supporting restaurant operations during peak hours. Engage in basic math calculations for sales totals, change giving, and inventory management. Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food service, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or a quick service/fast food restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; willingness to learn new technology is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests. Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Experience in cashiering, serving, bussing tables, or retail math will be advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
