Job Summary:

The Working Chef / Dining Services Director oversees all food service operations within a high-volume industrial cafeteria, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality meal service for plant employees. This role focuses on delivering nutritious, cost-effective, and timely dining solutions that support workforce productivity and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: Manage daily cafeteria operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery for multiple shifts.
Cost Control & Budgeting: Develop and monitor budgets, implement cost-saving measures, and maintain profitability without compromising quality.
Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise culinary and service staff, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and OSHA regulations within an industrial environment.
Employee Engagement: Create dining programs that accommodate diverse dietary needs and shift schedules, enhancing employee satisfaction.
Strategic Initiatives: Introduce innovative solutions for speed of service, healthy options, and sustainability practices tailored to a manufacturing setting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of leadership experience in large-scale food service operations, preferably in industrial or high-volume settings.
Strong financial management and organizational skills.
ServSafe or equivalent certification required.
