Cleveland Menu is a 3rd generation family-owned business that has been serving the hospitality industry since 1930 and specializes in the design and production of high-quality leather, metal, wood and printed menu covers. We are a fast paced, rapidly growing organization that is looking for candidates with a proven track record of reliability and desire to grow with the company.
The Woodshop Operator is responsible for operating woodworking machinery and performing tasks involved in the production of wood-based menu covers.

Shift Availability:

1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm 2nd Shift: 1:15pm - 9:15pm

Essential Job Duties:

Operate woodshop machinery to cut and clean wood to design specifications. Read work orders and set machines in accordance with job specifications. Ensure that machines are in proper working order. Ensure that the company's safety regulations and procedures are followed. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Attention to detail and quality. Ability to read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and specifications. Team player with good work ethic and communication skills. Familiarity with woodworking machinery and hand tools. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of woodworking experience is preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment and is exposed to fluctuating temperatures in certain areas; noises; working around machinery with moving parts; working in close proximity to others; and exposure to strong odors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift/move/carry up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; stoop/kneel/bend/crouch to reach material; and operate machinery and/or power tools.
