Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director/ Coordinator, the Program Instructor II will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision in CPR classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.Experience leading a group is preferred.
A minimum of 18 years of age.
Knowledge of basic CPR and fitness class leadership is preferred.
Must have the knowledge and experience to operate as both CPR instructor (maintain Instructor status).
Verbally provide clear concise directions and visually inspect classroom for safety.
Must follow the American Heart Association guidelines (ensure Quality Assurance) when instructing the AHA courses.
Must follow the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) guidelines when instructing the Oxygen Administration course for YMCA Lifeguards.
* Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, New Employee Orientation and other wellness department and designated Center training, or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
