Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to create a welcoming shopping experience Conduct engaging product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer interest and understanding Assist customers with selecting products that suit their needs, offering expert advice and upselling when appropriate Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and issuing receipts Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and visually appealing Perform stocking duties to keep shelves replenished and ensure inventory accuracy through retail math skills Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support remotely Support cashiering duties with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions and change handling Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and merchandising to maximize sales potential Demonstrate strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and assist customers confidently in a bilingual setting if applicable Ensure compliance with store policies related to cash handling, safety procedures, and customer privacy

Experience

Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures enhances your ability to succeed in this role Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing team tasks or training new staff Experience conducting product demos or upselling techniques helps drive sales growth Bilingual skills are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases effectively Strong phone etiquette and excellent communication skills are essential for engaging customers both in-store and over the phone Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management Experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments provides a solid foundation for this position
