The Boise Co-op Wine Shop is seeking an
experienced Wine Shop Receiver
to join our team. This role is crucial in keeping our award-winning wine program running smoothly, ensuring every bottle that comes through our doors is accounted for, properly stocked, and ready to delight our customers.
What You'll Do
Oversee and refine receiving procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and accountability for all wine deliveries.
Receive, process, and verify all wine shipments, coordinating with suppliers, distributors, and drivers.
Maintain precise records in Catapult and OnBase, including purchase orders, invoices, and new item entries.
Partner with the Wine Shop Manager and Specialty Buyer on pricing, specialty buys, and new product launches.
Keep backstock and receiving areas organized, efficient, and compliant.
Conduct inventory spot-checks, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate stock levels.
Tag, stock, merchandise, and rotate wine inventory to ensure quality and presentation.
Manage product returns, transfers, and special orders with professionalism and speed.
Provide excellent service to vendors, delivery partners, and -- most importantly -- our customers.
What We're Looking For
Proven wine experience
-- knowledge of wine, distributors, and inventory systems required.
Strong organizational skills with a sharp eye for accuracy.
Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Prior retail and POS experience preferred.
Physical & Work Environment
This role is hands-on in a bustling retail setting. You'll be moving cases of wine (up to 50 lbs.), staying on your feet, and working closely with vendors, co-workers, and customers in a fast-paced but fun atmosphere.
