Stew Leonard's WINES began when Stew Leonard, Jr., the CEO and President of Stew Leonard's food stores and his two sisters, Jill and Beth, and brother, Tom, were sitting at the dinner table. They realized the only item on the table that their business did not sell was the wine. The meal was fantastic, but the wine was just ok. Stew said to his sisters, "We can do better. Don't you agree?"After seeing the success his sister Beth had opening her store in Yonkers, NY in 1999, Stew decided it was his turn. Stew opened up his store in Farmingdale, NY . Stew himself has studied wine through the Wine and Spirits Education Trust and has travelled to many of the greatest wine regions of the world. Stew Leonard's Wines of Farmingdale is a customer-driven wine retailer focused on providing consumers with quality wines at great prices, world-class customer service and a pleasant shopping experience that takes the intimidation factor out of selecting wines.The Stew Leonard's Mark is a registered trademark or service mark of Stew Leonard's, a Connecticut partnership and is registered in the United States. Each wine store is independently owned and operated and is not part of a cooperative buying group or affiliated with the Stew Leonard's food stores.

Position Description:

Ensuring that product is checked in properly, shelves are stocked; exciting displays are built, and is available for customer's questions on the floor.

Your day-to-day:

Stocking shelves building exciting displays safely operates equipment such as hand trucks, uboats, conveyor, forklifts (where necessary) Assist in inventory and store moves signing off on PO's as deliveries arrive, ensuring accuracy product placement in stores helping to keep the store clean knows the store's exclusive and focus items capability to ring on register and cover other areas of the store Ability to assist customers with the location of products in the store and basic wine pairings. Assist with other store operations tasks- ie cleaning break area, restrooms, collecting carts, stocking bags and materials at register

Energy and enthusiasm to work, willingness to work in any area of the store that may need assistance, pride in your grooming standards, and a drive to give customers the best shopping experience to keep them coming back.

Entry level, must be 18+ years
