Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Home Economics with Emphasis in Nutritition.
Be over 18 years of age
Possess a valid driver's license
Current CPR certification
Core Competencies:
Knowledge of WIC electronic documentation program
Knowledge and ability to monitor and measure programs compliance with all applicable policies, funding and billing regulations and laws.
Knowledge of compliance audits and ability to participate in audits related to documentation requirements.
Knowledge and ability to assist in monitoring programs' compliance to applicable accreditation standards and implement corrective action plans necessary.
Job Duties/Skills Required:
Provides participant centered nutrition counseling and referral services for WIC clients.
Completes a nutrition assessment for WIC applicants, assessing nutrition risks and providing nutrition and health recommendations for participants.
Prescribes WIC food packages tailored to participant needs.
Breastfeeding promotion for WIC participants, community partners, and health providers.
Completes Health measurements including height, weight and blood samples for all participants.
