Job Description

The Welding Intern is responsible for performing fundamental welding as assigned.

Must be enrolled in the SCHS Careers in the Community Class Fall '25

Essential Specific Job Duties:

1. Performs fundamental welding procedures as directed.


2. Passes all required welding qualifications.


3. Reads and interprets blueprints with detailed drawings and dimension styles.


4. Uses basic measuring skills.


5. Sets up, positions and operates hand and power tools such as Gas Metal Arc and Flux Core Arc Welding equipment.


6. Cleans and grinds welds as required.


7. Adheres to quality standards at all times.


8. Adheres to safety standards at all times.
