Position Overview

The Weekend On-Call Coordinator is responsible for managing after-hours calls/texts, addressing scheduling needs, and ensuring continuity of care for clients and caregivers over the weekend. This position requires a dependable individual who can respond promptly to calls and texts, resolve scheduling and other issues, and communicate effectively.

Schedule Details

The on-call period begins Friday afternoon 4:00 PM and ends Monday morning. The coordinator is required to report to the office at the start and end of on-call period. During long weekends, coverage will begin on Thursday or end on Tuesday.

Key Responsibilities

Answer and manage all after-hours calls and text messages from caregivers, clients, client and caregiver leads, referral partners etc.. Coordinate last-minute schedule adjustments, replacements, and urgent staffing needs. Document all communications and actions taken in the scheduling system accurately and promptly. Provide a concise weekend summary report to the office staff on Monday morning. Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service in all interactions.

Qualifications

Prior experience in home care, healthcare coordination, or scheduling preferred. Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Proficiency with mobile technology, scheduling software, and communication tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Reliable and punctual, with consistent weekend availability. Must be able to report to the Santa Rosa office at the start and end of the weekend on-call period.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote; however, brief in-person attendance is required on Fridays and Mondays for on-call phone exchange and reporting.
