Responsibilities We'll Help You Master

Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a "person-centered" focus. Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons-served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines. Actively plans, coordinates, and participates with residents in social activities including frequent community outings. Instructs, supports and participates in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc.

The Ideal Candidate

Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution. Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided Should have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or with other types of special needs populations Someone who enjoys being an outdoors and is interested in cooking and baking. Should have an understanding of respect for individual's home and space and expectations of the Ardmore. Must be willing to work in both the community and home settings, a good driving record is required. Be resourceful in researching community activities.
