Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weekend Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is vital in creating a clean, welcoming environment. Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Weekend Custodian will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, industrial cleaning, and general maintenance, contributing to the overall upkeep of our premises.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all facility areas Conduct detailed floor care including buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a professional appearance Handle industrial cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas in accordance with established standards Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed Operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities Ensure supplies are stocked and properly stored for ongoing maintenance needs Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives as scheduled

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services preferred Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing Familiarity with commercial cleaning procedures and industrial cleaning equipment Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards Good organizational skills to manage supplies and prioritize tasks effectively Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
