We are a small family owned business for over 60 years seeking a skilled and dedicated Waterproofer, Tuckpointer, Mason, or Brick Layer to join our construction team. This role involves performing various masonry and waterproofing tasks on commercial, residential and historical projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete forming, masonry, and related trades, with the ability to read blueprints and operate power tools and heavy equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work with room for advancement on diverse projects, including renovation, restoration, and new construction, contributing to high-quality building finishes and durable structures.
Responsibilities
Install waterproofing systems and apply sealants to protect structures from moisture intrusion.
Perform tuckpointing and bricklaying to repair or construct walls, facades, and other masonry features.
Install rebar according to schematics and blueprints to reinforce concrete structures.
Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools for smoothness and durability.
Read construction schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate placement of materials.
Use hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and efficiently on-site.
Assist with renovation projects including plastering, stucco application, roofing, carpentry, framing, metal stud framing, tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, welding, and other related tasks.
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in masonry, waterproofing, tuckpointing, or related construction trades.
Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and concrete forming processes.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely.
Experience with rebar installation and blueprint reading is highly desirable.
Familiarity with schematics for structural layouts and schematic diagrams for systems installation.
Strong understanding of construction estimating principles is a plus.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team on diverse projects across renovation or new construction sites.
Valid safety certifications or willingness to obtain relevant safety training is preferred. This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail to ensure the durability and quality of our construction projects while maintaining a safe working environment.
