Rathbun Regional Water Association is now accepting applications for a full-time Water Treatment Plant Operator. Successful candidates will operate on a shift schedule requiring the ability to work weekends, nights, holidays and at short notice. The successful candidate will operate water treatment plant equipment and associated facilities needed to produce and distribute in sufficient quantities and pressure safe drinking water that meets or exceeds State and Federal requirements. Duties will include the operation of water quality laboratory equipment, testing of water samples for bacteria and water treatment quality control, and other related work as assigned. The ability to obtain certifications in Water Treatment will also be required.
Successful candidates will also perform maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and grounds.
Knowledge of water treatment procedures, mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance is preferred but not required. RRWA will train the successful candidate. Pay will be commensurate to experience.
