Job Description

DESCRIPTION: Park City Municipal is looking for a highly motivated individual to perform highly skilled work operating and maintaining surface water treatment plants that produce high quality drinking water. The Water Treatment Plant Operator IV performs highly skilled work operating and maintaining water treatment plants and related water sources with the main objective of protecting public health and the natural environment. The ideal candidate is someone who has membrane or surface water treatment plant experience or a combination of related experience in operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of water related facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience or a combination of equivalent experience with proven competency in operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment plants
• Utah Operators certification: Grade IV Water Treatment and Grade IV Water Distribution
• Valid State CDL License
• Required to share response to emergencies 24/7/365 related to the public water system.
• Within 60-minute travel time from home while on-call and for emergency response.
• Ability to be on-call and make independent operational decisions with limited supervisory support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Membrane water treatment plant operations and maintenance experience.
• Conventional water treatment plant operations and maintenance experience.
