Position Summary This full-time position is responsible for water pre-treatment operations at a pre-treatment facility (Beef Processing Facility). Job Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Operating and maintaining water pre-treatment equipment including piping, pumps, valves screening systems, dissolved air flotation equipment, aeration equipment, flow meters and lagoons. \xc2\xb7 Record and monitor readings and make operational adjustments as required. \xc2\xb7 Monitor flow and treatment of raw sources. \xc2\xb7 Monitor control panels and adjust as required. \xc2\xb7 Inspect equipment as required. \xc2\xb7 Testing and samples as necessary. \xc2\xb7 May operate and maintain power generating equipment. \xc2\xb7 Treat with chemicals as necessary. \xc2\xb7 Follow Federal, State and Local Environmental Agency permits and regulations. \xc2\xb7 Ensure Safety standards are met. Job Requirements: \xc2\xb7 0-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Wastewater Treatment Facility or other maintenance field. \xc2\xb7 Strong reading, writing and math skills. \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to develop rapport and communicate effectively with a variety of people at all levels and cultures. \xc2\xb7 Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work overnights and 12 hour shifts \xc2\xb7 Ability to see, sit, stand, hear, bend, walk, and talk for 8-10 hours per day \xc2\xb7 Ability to lift 50 pounds \xc2\xb7 Ability to enter operations areas. Tolerate heat and cold. \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work 2nd shift: 6:00pm-6:30am Work Environments \xc2\xb7 Wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. \xc2\xb7 May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. \xc2\xb7 May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. \xc2\xb7 May be exposed to all chemicals used in a beef, food, processing facility.
