Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and passengers safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of various driving environments and the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including commercial vehicles, buses, and trucks. The Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks, buses, and delivery vans. Safely transport goods or passengers to designated locations. Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes taken, and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or passengers.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, including delivery driver experience. Familiarity with shuttle driving, route driving, and paratransit services. Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, dump trucks, or heavy haul vehicles is a plus. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles as well as automatic ones. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Experience with load & unload operations using pallet jacks or similar equipment. Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight transportation and vehicle operation. Previous experience in warehouse settings or with specific vehicle types such as tractor-trailers, box trucks, flatbeds, or tow trucks is advantageous.
