Duties
Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, replenishment, and organization using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
Assist with order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment according to customer specifications.
Conduct shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments with AS400 or similar systems.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace by stocking shelves, packaging products securely, and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Support manufacturing processes by handling raw materials, assisting with materials handling tasks, and operating heavy equipment safely.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
Valid certification or experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other heavy equipment.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles including inventory control and stock replenishment.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and perform basic maintenance checks.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation.
Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
