Job Description

Currently, Goyette Mechanical Company has an immediate opening for a reliable Warehouse Worker/Driver to support daily operations across our warehouse, fabrication shop, and field job sites. This hybrid position includes both material handling and DOT-regulated driving, delivering piping, equipment, tools, and jobsite materials using company vehicles ranging from pickup trucks with trailers to box trucks.



We are seeking a motivated individual who is comfortable working in a physical warehouse environment and operating DOT-regulated vehicles as part of our growing team.




Warehouse Duties




Receive, inspect, and organize materials and equipment. Verify deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies. Stage material for jobsite deliveries. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, lifts, and material-handling equipment. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and OSHA-compliant housekeeping. Assist with tool tracking, equipment check-out, and inventory rotation. Prepare returns, restock unused jobsite materials, and manage material transfers.

Driving / DOT Duties




Operate 3/4-ton pickups, KUV trucks, box trucks, and pickup/trailer combinations above 10,001 lbs GVWR. Perform DOT-compliant pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Safely load, strap, chain, and transport all materials. Communicate with warehouse staff, project managers, and field supervisors on delivery timing and drop-off requirements.

Required Qualifications




18 years of age or older Valid Driver's License; Chauffeur's License preferred (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements. Ability to meet DOT medical qualifications (valid medical card). Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs frequently. Experience driving pickup/trailer combinations or box trucks. Basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC materials is a plus. Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained).

Preferred Qualifications




Experience working for a mechanical, plumbing, or MEP contractor. Familiarity with construction materials, inventory systems, and jobsite processes. Basic computer skills for receiving, inventory, and warehouse tracking software.
