FLS is looking for two Team Leaders for our warehouse crews. 12 hour shifts on a 2/2/3 rotation. This includes every other weekend (every other off). Shifts run 6p-6a. The main expectation for this role is to provide leadership and guidance to our warehouse associates.
JOB EXPECTATIONS:
Ultimately responsible for business results for their crew.
Ensure root cause assessments of all safety, product and process issue reports and customer complaints: as appropriate, ensure that effective corrective action is identified and implemented;
Coordinate with asset planners, MSE's, and other business partners on any potential service driving or shipping issues
Ensure that their crew is "setting up" oncoming crew for success
Drive total team involvement
Ensure that their crew is properly staffed. If not, contact associates on FLS roster and obtain support needed.
Facilitate critical warehouse decisions (lack of material, change in production schedule, special direction loads, etc.)
Participates on second hat focus teams.
Ensure each crew member is properly utilized to maintain a high level of productivity
Responsible for facilitating all necessary training for their crew.
Fully understands and is capable of applying all of the elements of the training system (includes crew matrix)
Analyzes training needs for their crew
Develops training plan with the training coordinator to address crew deficiencies
Works closely with the key stakeholders to ensure training plan is carried out
Ensures delivery of training to the crews using the experts and materials developed
Responsible for working with HR on annual crew member performance reviews and any other necessary developmental and disciplinary activities for their assigned crew.
Collaborate with warehouse manager to develop, deliver and monitor growth plans with each crew member
Ensure adherence to employee guidelines; ensure disciplinary actions are enforced according to mill standards
Exhibit on the floor leadership, such as:
Confronting unsafe acts
Identifying individual work performance issues
Having a proactive, win-win attitude
Treating everyone with respect
Ensuring crew is focused in right areas to be successful (housekeeping, work instructions, process rounds, etc.)
Addressing quality and productivity issues
Answering the
"why"
questions (productivity not met, special projects not finished, piece of equipment not working, housekeeping list not completed, issue report not filled out, poor shift, etc.).
Crew Leader is included in the staffing level of a crew
Capable of working in the warehouse to support crew accomplishing all business results
Balances priorities (administrative vs. working in the warehouse) based on daily load schedule and/or business issues, needs and conditions
Ensure effective mill wide labor planning
Working with other Crew Leaders on their particular crew to resolve any immediate crewing issues for that crew and/or the on-coming crew
Working with Transportation Planners to resolve any immediate loading issues
Support warehouse reorganization and expectations by partnering with Warehouse Planner and initiating special projects to reach the end goal.
Ensure complete and thorough communication of all key issues or upcoming events to the rest of the crew and the core team
Be aware of what is happening in the warehouse (safety, quality, productivity, load demand, machine issues, etc.) and periodically update crew on warehouse performance
Ensure that proper communication of events takes place to prevent reoccurring mistakes within and across all crews
Communication-General:
Prepare and submit daily shift report
Complete crew lead checklist and return to Warehouse Manager at the end of each shift
Communication with leadership on issues that need immediate resolution
Maintain a professional demeanor when communicating with associates, peers, Kimberly-Clark, customers, and leadership
Participates in meetings with leadership as scheduled
Job Requirements:
