We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient distribution processes, and lead a team of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. This role involves managing inventory control, shipping and receiving, and implementing process improvements to optimize overall warehouse performance. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards, ensuring accurate materials handling, and supporting logistics operations within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Supervise daily warehouse activities including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and materials handling.
Lead and manage warehouse team members to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
Oversee inventory control processes utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AS400 platforms.
Coordinate logistics operations for e-commerce, 3PL providers, and internal distribution channels.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety in warehouse operations.
Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other mechanical equipment for heavy lifting and materials movement.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Manage warehouse distribution schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline shipping & receiving procedures and optimize workflow.
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision within a logistics or distribution environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, materials handling, and shipping & receiving processes.
Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS400, and related logistics software such as OSHAs standards.
Mechanical knowledge and experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery required.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and logistics strategies including e-commerce fulfillment and 3PL operations.
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation accuracy.
