Position Purpose



The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the implementing the daily activities of operating an inventory warehouse by overseeing an organized team of warehouse personnel and the scheduling of inventory deliveries, receiving and managing inventory levels for the inventory warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the daily operation of a clean, orderly, functional and safe distribution warehouse. Ensure that workplace health and safety requirements are met in accordance with company policy and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock. Supervision of all staff under your direct or indirect control. Assist in training warehouse staff and the day-to-day monitoring of personnel in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices. Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the warehouse with a primary focus on cost controls. Organize all activities & assign job tasks accordingly for staff. Manage Inventory control, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into system. Implements cost reduction principles in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities. Manage Invoice and billing to maintain effective cash flow. Assist and, when required, directly negotiate rates with common carrier representatives. Perform inventory and shipping review, specifically by processing inventory orders and maintaining proper stock levels and insuring that all inventory accounts receivable are current in the accounting system. Process HVAC equipment orders, schedule timely delivery and/or pick-up. Perform inventory and shipping, specifically by processing inventory orders and maintaining proper stock levels. Establish clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior. Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service. Offers general support for the entire company on parts issues and warehouse needs. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications



3+ years of related work experience, preferably in a HVAC warehouse environment Valid driver's license Computer literacy, including working experience with Microsoft Office Suite Communication skills - both verbal and written Ability to successfully complete projects involving organization and process Excellent customer service skills Ability to maintain and exemplify safety standards Attention to detail Certified operation of a Forklift


Preferred Qualifications

Physical Requirements



This work may involve standing for extended periods, climbing ladders or scaffolds, and working in tight spaces. This position may require lifting to 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor. This position may require climbing ladders and the ability to function at heights. Occasional operation of forklift
