We are an industry-leading food service supply and equipment distributor, and this internship will provide the opportunity to learn all warehouse department operations from the ground up.
Part-time in Spring 2026 with flexibility to accommodate your school schedule, transitioning to full-time in Summer 2026.
Responsibilities
--------------------
As an Operations Intern, you will:
Complete an operations rotation where you will learn about warehouse operations and processes in a hands-on environment through each department from Inventory, Receiving, & Shipping
Work closely with warehouse supervisors to develop practical solutions to problems without sacrificing quality
Help supervisors and their teams meet department's daily, weekly and monthly goals of the distribution center
Analyze opportunities for growth, cutting costs, reducing damages and improving efficiencies
Continually improve productivity targets and process improvements
Complete internship projects, which could include, but are not limited to:
Improving and updating training manuals
Creating new standard operating procedures for various warehouse processes
Testing new order packing processes and materials
Testing new warehouse software processes
Physical Requirements
-------------------------
Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
Experience
--------------
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
Have an interest in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field
Education
